Lt1 true dual dumps

Well i tried making my own dumps and it was an epic fail. Sits way to close to the ground, but it sounds good. Anybody know of a good exhaust shop that can make me up a tight fitting exhaust? Or is there a kit i can piece together? Any input would be great.

What did you try to use?

Dudbird113 09-02-2013 10:58 PM

3 inch pipe with a 3 inch offset to two magnaflow bullets. Saggin in the rear to much

LTb1ow 09-02-2013 11:00 PM

Dudbird113 09-02-2013 11:47 PM

you need to rig hangars near the end to support things.

Dual 3 inch??? Damn, you must be pushing some power!

Gonna take it to mufflex after i get it tuned. Makes no sense to me of going down to 2.5 when my collector is 3"

Is the only reason you went 3" is to match your collector size?

Dudbird113 09-04-2013 01:52 PM

Sort of. Id be pushing it with 2.5

I think the point they are getting to is that a single 3" can support over 500hp. dual 2.5 can support considerably more than that. And a 3" true dual is for cars making like 800+ hp. Having that much flow will actually hinder performance on less powerful engines.

Coolman, how much clearance do you have? Mufflex said they would tuck it all nice for a little over 400. If i had a tube bender i would do it myself but i dont

coolmanvette75 09-05-2013 01:00 AM

Pretty damn good actually. We tucked them up nice when we did them. Having an aftermarket torque arm helped significantly. Car was stock height...
