SpaceX

Here's a cool article on SpaceX and formula SAE. http://jalopnik.com/increase-your-od...-ra-1569237913

I know most of you on here already have established careers, but if you know anyone that's about to start college for mechanical engineering, definitely tell them to join the SAE team at the school if it has one. SAE opened up a lot of job opportunities for me.

Meh, bunch of clowns at my school. Starry eyed kids with no grasp of reality.

NJIT has the worst SAE team in the area. Rutgers has the second best team(rankings wise) behind Penn State in the area. Checkout this map for world rankings of all the teams. https://maps.google.de/maps?q=http:%...,12.128906&t=m

When i went there, I was interested in getting into that program, but they were more interested in arguing about who was in charge and what unproven concepts were going to be used. Kind of reminded me of the Big Bang Theory and how they turned a molehill into a mountain. I walked away and worked on cars and 20 years later I am doing this as my own business.

One thing I despise about the SpaceX program is how they give the perception that it is an all new program, yet they are still using the WW2 technology of the German V2 rocket as their propulsion source (with some changes of course). Musk is a master showman, that much is obvious.

SR72, now that is a project I would love to be on.
