Sold the TA today
 

So i just sold the TA to a guy in VA.

I told him that if he ever decides to sell it to let me know cause i would buy it back lol

Im getting a 99 bmw m3 and going road course racing

Planning to race in a class/time attack series or is the plan more track day oriented? M3's are a known quantity and any number of companies can take your budget and hand you a variety of parts that will be balanced well for the local tracks.

track days for a year or so, then put a full cage and race in a class

the car already has a 4pt bar, two fixed seats w/ harnesses and a little weight reduction

Nice. I keep finding myself looking at Miata's with the same plan in mind.

Before you spend all the $$$ doing your own build you may just want to look for something class ready that is already built. For some reason the resale value on BMW race cars is tragic. You can grab a completely up to date, competitive car for less than half of what it would cost to build your own.
