Modern seats in 4th Gen

Has anyone put the new Camaro seats or Corvette seats in a 4th Gen car? Im looking for a comfortable long term seat since my current racing seats arent really built for hours of driving.

GTO seats have been done a few times and the red might look good on your car.

Thats right how comfortable are those seats? And how about the G8 seats?

The GTO seats are quite comfortable. Another popular seat swap I've been seeing in these cars lately is S2000 seats...

here is my car with GTO seats installed. bought them off a member on here who has done the modification for the rails to fit fbodies. other than the rails no mods are needed. i could never go back to stock seats after these. let me know if you need any other pics

Yeah that looks good! I am look at them on ebay from 450-650. Not bad!!! I would have to get them reupolstered though but they do look good. Who does the rails?

i got them off qwikz28, i believe he modded recaro rails, idk if there are bolt on rail kits. your in edison if you want to look at them/sit in them before you buy a set let me know, im not far away

For a lot of the GM seats the bolt pattern on the bottom of the actual chair is the same. If you can find someone with a seat that will let you measure you may just be able to bolt the new seat to your base frame and go with little to no massaging needed.

the electric backrest works since that motor is in the seat itself, the forward/back/seat tilt controls for the seat itself are on the GTO rails which are not used due to the lack of space.

depending on the rails, the recaro rails i can adjust manually using a conventional style lever and sliding back and forth

firebirdcrazy 08-02-2014 03:58 PM

Oh I need it functional!! Have to figure out a way to make it work
