E-town swap meet

Who's going? Anyone planning to set up some tables? Shopping for anything specific?

I plan to be there wandering around. Not looking for anything specific.

im tempted to go to see if i can find a floorpan for my corvair. but some how or another i know the chances are unlikely.

NJSPEEDER 09-19-2014 11:35 AM

Always worth a shot. The fall Carlisle swap meet is the following weekend. Maybe check on the Corvair forums to see if any vendors are planning to attend one or both.

Carlisle or Hershey is a better bet. they don't re-pop that?

KevinW 09-19-2014 01:47 PM

Planning to walk around on friday (if work does not intrude!)

I'll probably go Saturday. Keep an eye out for my car in the show if its nice out. I guess I should formally introduce the car to the club at some point

thehazguy 09-19-2014 07:09 PM

If it's nice out I'll go on Friday. Although I'll not really looking for much it's a mental bring day from work. Cruise around on the mt bike and listen to some tunes.

Have you tried www.DVAP.com ? They have the biggest network of classic car salvage yards in the US. Maybe they can get something for ya.

lol damn this thread got derailed quick. iv thought about dvap and also places like the corvair ranch. but when you figure in the part, their labor cutting it out and then shipping. it would be cheaper to get a better shell. it sucks that i might have to strip and junk this thing over the fact its floor is so shot when i know it could be saved.

X1000. It used to be so much better. Ebay and the internet killed it. I remember going back in the early '90's and if you needed a part.....it was there. Now its more of a flea market than car parts meet. Its a shame

redsoxsstink 09-25-2014 07:12 AM

ill be there, not looking for anything but its a damn good excuse to have burgers and beer for breakfast

NJSPEEDER 09-25-2014 07:21 AM

You need an excuse to have beer with breakfast? lol

ThoR294 09-25-2014 09:15 AM

My father has a 66 corvair "for sale"... lol. its got like 3k miles on it and sitting in a garage foreverrrrrr all original.

I'd love to go, but as usual, the GF and I are busy

lol yea, normally that is frowned upon

NJSPEEDER 09-25-2014 09:48 AM

Did ya ever notice it is boring people that are generally grumpy that frown upon such things while those of us that take advantage of every opportunity to enjoy ourselves are walking around with smiles?

I'm considering going to the spring swap meet with my horde of parts. Not enough time to get stuff together for this one.

The past few years I haven't bothered but if no one else really has parts there, if I go with good stuff, maybe I'll do ok and sell of some of what I have.

greenformula92 09-28-2014 11:52 AM

Went yesterday. Didn't buy anything but had a good time hanging out with Ted and Dave. I didn't see hardly any fbody stuff other than I at the spot I was chilling at. A lot more girls than usual though
