LS1/HP Tuners tuning question

-I have a stock "411" pcm from a 2002 Firebird Formula.
-That car is an automatic.
-I am buying a new, stand alone harness for a 99+ LS1 w/ T56 manual transmission.

I know that the stock '02 Formy tune won't work since the transmissions are different. But I have a tune from a 2001 LS1/T56 car saved on my laptop. I will be registering the '02 Formy VIN/pcm with new credits so I'd be able to alter that tune.

My questions...

1. Once the pcm is swapped to a new car(88 trans am), with No BCM swapped as well, can I still access it like normal and write a calibration to it?

2. Can I just do a "write entire calibration" using the '01 LS1/T56 tune I have saved(not locked) onto the '02 pcm with no specific changes to address the trans difference? Basically, will a write include everything needed to tell the pcm that the car no longer has the 4l60e?

It's been like 5 years since I've messed with HP tuners so I forget.

You can write entire the 01 tune to the 02. You will have to license both of the files. You can also just copy differences from 01 -> 02 and that way you'll only need to have the 02 licensed.

The '01 tune is from my old SS which is already licensed.

in that case you can write entire the 01 to the 02 with no issues.
