DNJ auto parts
Has anybody used DNJ auto parts?Ive seen them on Rockauto.Im thinking about buying there rebuild kits for my 94 Z28.Could anybody give me some info on them??
|
What kind of rebuild kit? Engine? Trans? Suspension?
If it is a complete kit of some kind normally it will be made of up parts from various manufacturuers. Look at the brands and kinds of parts included in the kit to determine if it is any good. If the parts are all no name stuff from China you will instantly know why the price is low. |
Are you doing the rebuild? If not, odds are the machine shop may toss that pile of trash back in your face if you expect them to use it.

Im doing my engine.
LTb1ow,you dont have to be a smart ass.I was asking for some info. Not a dick head answer!!!! |
Sorry its not the answer you want to hear, but its prob true. Cheap parts are usually never good and most machine shops won't want to waste their time trying to make it all work.

Hate to break it to you beaver but that's not exactly a dickhead answer. If you bring a rebuild kit that's got a lot of questionable parts to a machine shop there's a good chance that they will turn you away. They want your business but they don't want the headache when they get blamed for problems. The shop may be just fine using the stuff. But know that you run that risk. If you have a shop picked out, ask them. |
Furthermore, to carry on being the dick here, you can't just buy a package and expect to work well for long. You need to measure hardparts (crank, rods, bores) prior to buying bearings. Your bores may need a slight cleanup, crank may need to be turned, rods may be out of round etc...
All that crap needs to be done so you don't buy parts twice. Sucks to hear but trying to shed some light here. |
