Slp lid/Maf/bellows install
1 Attachment(s)
So I bought the above SLP package used.
I've installed lid and bellows before but the slp maf is a bit confusing. It has a native 5 pin plug(98 plug) and it came with a pigtail adaptor that has 2 plugs one a 3 pin the second a 2 pin plug that looks like a temp sensor plug. Im assuming my (2001) maf plugs into the 3 pin but where do I plug the 2 pin into? - The lid like normal? - The pigtail with the 2 pin plug? |
On your factory lid, there is a 2 pin sensor, I think driver side, Thats the air temp sensor. The 5 pin mafs have the air temp sensor built in, and dont require the separate sensor. If you have the stock one on the air lid, you should not need to use the one of the Maf, the harness is really just an adapter to make the 5 pin work in a 3pin maf car.

So it can be plugged in either way? Or is it preferred to use the air temp in the lid! |
I'd plug the one in from the MAF instead of using the one in the lid.
