WP drive seal and Crank Seal (dry or oil)?

Sorry for all the questions lately but Im getting the car back to driver quality as the previous owner let it sit for 8 yrs and this is my first LT1. Im installing a new Water pump and cap and rotor in the morning and Im confused as there are conflicting reports out there on how to install WP drive seal and crank seal. Lets see If I have it correct. Just the inside of the seals get some engine oil on them not the outer edge as the Haynes book says. Or is it completely dry as the seals are ptfe (new style)?

I installed the WP seal dry, using a cut off dry erase marker as a guide.
