LOL. Wonder if the exhaust valves still work....

I like where they list the color...

NEVER saw a car THAT BURNED UP. There isn't 5 cents worth of ANYTHING that you could salvage in that. Must say, the MUFFLERS held up quite well.

I wonder if that paint color is called Carbon Fire?

That would be a great project for Foose and his overhauling gang.

Someone will buy the car for the title and VIN number. Then they will steal a car and put the VIN on the new car. Go to a state that doesn't check closely at rebuilt titles and then bingo. They have a car worth $42K to sell.

i would assume a vette like this totaled would be reported to insurance. wouldn't insurance know the vehicle with this vin is destroyed?

With so many cars they don't do a great job of keeping track of these things. The state is more involved then the insurance companies.

Also, the insurance companies are just as guilty of looking the other way. When my dad would go to the insurance auctions, he was shocked at some of the cars they would send through with clean non salvage titles. The insurance companies prefer the cars to go with a clean title because they get more money at the auction.
