Question about sway bar size.....
I have WS6 sway bars (36mm/24mm) for my camaro, and I want to order a poly front end kit for it (all bushings are in pretty bad shape). PST does not list their sway bar sizes in mm, only in inches. Does anyone know exactly which size/kit I would need to buy?

buy the front end kit they list for the formula. the bushing shoudl be 1.5 inches (actually 1 7/16 if you wanna be perfect)
if the company you are looking at does not offer a bushiong eth correct size then just get teh closest size smaller and ream it out to teh correct size later tim |
They don't list them by specific model, otherwise I would have done that already. They are listed as 82-92 Camaro/Firebird, and they ask you to specify size (in inches) of the front sway bar. I think 1 7/16" is an option, so I'll go with that if it is the correct size of the front sway.
- Justin ::edit:: - just checked their site, the largest front sway bar they list as an option for the kit is 1 3/8", and they claim that factory cars had 1 1/8" or 1 1/4" front sways. I know there were more than 2 available sizes, so would my best bet be to get the 1 3/8" and they bore out the center slightly if it is needed? |
To convert from mm to in:
divide by 25.4 36mm/25.4=1.417in=1 27/64=aprox 1 7/16in 35mm/25.4=1.378in=1 3/8in |
I have 36/24mm sway bar bushings, and I got the 36's ones from Sphon, and they list them both for 36mm and 24mm.
