Power Lock Solenoid

Where is it located on a 4th gen? I have problems with my lock system, and supposivly their was an aftermarket installed back in the day, they lost something so they clipped the system. So I have no power locks. So a friend of mine did a new viper alarm system in it, and the mechanic said He cant do anything about them. So I called GM, and they told me that its possible you can reconect the wires to the solenoid, and everything should come back to life. And my friend will re-work the alarm into it.

So where do I find the solenoid?

It's in the door(s). Are you sure it was disconnected in the door? If none of the locks work and you can't hear the relays clicking when you hit the switch, it may be something else entirely. Fuse or relay pulled out? Cut wires from previous aftermarket install?
