4L60 to a T56 6spd

Whats up guys. I have a 95' Z with 4L60E trans and I wanted to Know how much trouble would it be to convert to a T56 6spd. What all would i need to change over to make the 6spd work with my Z?

you need:
tranny, bell housing, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, peddle set, clutch master cyl, clutch pressure line, clutch slave cyl, throw out bearing, cross member, minor computer reprogramming, shifter, and a small wiring harness.
from what i have read the swap is not real dificult, mostly just time consuming.

later

Do I have to cut any holes for like the shifter and the clutch master cylinder?

GrandmasterCow 01-09-2005 05:51 PM

well, you need to cut hole forthe shifter to come up through, and you need to cut hole for the master cyl to come through for the clutch. it hink thats it for holes. i did a t5 conversion which isnt too much different. if you want instructions/pics, go http://www.afrashteh.com/tranny_pics/T56.htm
