Got the new exhaust on my truck!!!!!

After listening to my dual outlet flowmaster rattling over every damn bump (twin rear exits just under the bumper), I said the hell with it and ordered the Magnaflow 3" Stainless steel with a 4" tip.

I love it! It sounds beefier then the Flow's. Now I can't wait for a few tanks worth of gas to run through it and get a slightly different tone. This biggest pain in the ass of installing it was trying to get the old one off. It cant be more then 6 months old and i couldnt get the pipes seperated.

Sorry, no sounds, but a few pics.

Thanks man. I'm sure you'll see it sooner or later. I usally drive my car to the meets even though the truck is much better on gas and a roomier ride.

the 4.8 V8 auto with a 3.42 posi rear can pull my trailers nicely, and get hella good milage. Next on the list for the truck is a CAI and electric fans.

cool man glad to hear that. of anything i think i hate exhaust work worse then wiring!!!!! i have the dual split exit exhaust by gibson on my 8100 vortec duelly and it sounds nasty!!!! i thought the flowmaster wouldve sounded good/been better quality. I know my dads impala ss 96 flowmaster exhaust was a pain in the ass to install and had some noise issues too at first. even my custom 3" oval tubing into the 4" mufflex on my camaro rattles and bumps here and there too at times.

what kind of gas mileage is hella good?

deadtrend1 03-16-2005 05:32 PM

Joe, the reason the flowmaster wasn't that good was the fact the included a resonator to go before the muffler. 2 cats, resontor, muffler, twin 2" outlets=quiet rumble

Jon, i consider hella good milage driving it everyday and filling it every two weeks or so with a 24 gallon tank. I got about a best 350 miles out of a full tank. But i never calculated the milage.

Looks good. My cat back rotted off my truck last weekend. This sunday a friend and I are going to bend up a new one. I bought 20' of 2". stainless steel tubing from a supply house and a pair of chrome 3.5" slash cut tips from Summit. I run dual exhaust all the way with cats and no mufflers.....now that's music!
