Technically we are at 402. But thats cause there is no UID 1 and another is missing.

I cant wait until this is like genmay with 21,000+ members.

Heh.....you are trying to over-geek everyone else....it's not working.

The member count at the bottom of the front page displays current members, both active or inactive. If a member is deleted for whatever reason (member typed a name wrong, invalid e-mail, whatever) I can delete them, which I have done a few times in the past. This will remove that member from the memberlist. The profile number is still "reserved" for that member though, phpBB will not go back and re-order the profile list. If you read the member list, there are 399 current members, just like it states at the bottom of the front page.

No there weren't. There have been a total of 403 member profiles reserved (well, 402 since the first one is a default in phpBB). But there were never that many members on the board. The dup ones were deleted long ago.

I'm curious what 1) drove Koll to figure this out, and 2) how he did so. I'm more curious about #1 tho, lol.

When you view a user's profile, you can see in the URL that each one has a different number. I was the first member (being that I'm the geek admin) and I'm profile #2 (because #1 is a default profile in all phpBB installs that I have ever seen). There were 3 more members that joined and their accounts were deleted (two dup accounts, and one with a false e-mail address). This caused the profile number to be higher than that actual member count.
