they say on in teh article thqat any cars running 10's or better will be considered basically. last year the winner averaged 9.14, and he did not have the fastest runs, he was consistant where as everyone else that was in the very low 9's ran into problems on a run and blew the average.
i know that i am not likely to have enough car to consider winning, but i would think a 346cid car with a single turbo running mid to low 9's with a bolt on suspension and 275/60 drag radials would impress a few people. hopefully enough to get me a feature in a magazine

i think james could have a shot at making it in if we get to work on his car asap. i know there is enough weight in it to knock off a few tenths, add to that a real set of gears and some tuning for the nitrous and he could get into the 10 with it very easily. i am sure he would get some extra looks since he would prolly be the only guy there with a V6 that it didn't say "grand national" on the side of the car. hehe
