first thing is if they try to avoid doing any warranty work based on your mods it is up to them to actually prove that teh mods are teh cause of the defect or damage.
also, the piston slap thing is considered "normal" by gm at this point. it happens for no apparent reason in a lot fo '00 and up cars. i doubt you will make any progress with that.
i do suggest giving teh car a good bath before you go to any dealershiop, including the wheel wells. if there is a ton of rubber there they can claim abuse to try to circumvent service. they will lose eventually, but it jsut creates a headache for you.
