I have a feeling that this is going to come back and bite the Italian's in the ass. Just speculating here but I bet their attitudes got the best of them. It's not uncommon for main land Europeans to have a superiority complex when it comes to America's international influence so they probably thought they could just blow through the checkpoint... dumb da dumb dumb.
