that was the plan with my '88 formula, but then a cash crunch hit and i had to use it to drive everyday. Â*still, if i was able to put it away with less than 50K miles on it, it'd be worth at least what i paid for it back then. Â*i had all of the paperwork for it, as well, knowing that paperwork makes a car worth more... Â*hindsight is always 20/20, but looking back it's still a bit fuzzy.
my '69 coupe with 307/th350 3.08:1 with all original interior cost me $13k. Â*i'm not complaining in the least, since on a good day it will fetch $20K at auction. Â*it will be worth even more in years to come. Â*there seems to be a rollercoaster ride with the prices. Â*they start reaching phenomenal prices, then plateau for a while before starting the climb again. Â*i didn't buy the '69 to turn it over for a profit, but it's still nice knowing i made a smart investment (unlike buying a new car and taking the $10k hit for depreciation just driving it off the dealer's lot
