What's funny is that OSU engineering degrees require only 1 quarter of english and NO languages! In other words freshman year I wrote 3 papers that totalled maybe 8 pages and that was the last of my writing. I had a couple papers for a few electives and history classes but nothing that required more than an evening to through together.
I don't know how I got into OSU but they liked me, I really thought I wouldn't get in and I'd end up going to Rutgers. I didn't get accepted to Steven's like I was hoping... and that's the only school I really tried to get into! My great grandfather was alumni, I was pretty destrout about not getting in. OH, and Deleware was another school I applied too and got into except I hated the campus and location. Didn't help that it was a major party school with poor athletics. |
Any good engineering program will be very writing intensive as you hit junior / senior year. Trust me, they'll make up for the lack of "English" classes. At least they should.
