... among others who show up. Mostly you'll see individual locals there, parked or cruising, up and back.

I haven't heard anything about reserving spaces there. I thought that was generally discouraged. Now if your buddy happened to drive past your spot and is on his way back, sure - step out and hold the spot. But no reserving spots ahead of time.

I could be wrong.
