gm is moving along nicely right now.
they have started to reclaim market share both domestically and over seas.
they are introducing more new models worlwide than any 2 other manufacturers combined in the '06 model year.
they keep adding to their performance bottom line by offering more models with multiple engines available.
they still own casting facilities with long term contracts to ford, chrysler, and honda.
they added about 30% to their research adn development budget in the last 5 years(more than anyone else)
and they dropped nearly all of the plastic clad cars from their line ups already, something a few other manufacturers are just getting around to now.
only place they are losing out still is teh small car market. that is a tough show, everybody is niche marketing it to death. cars that get 50-60mpg , some that are bargain priced with rims and systems from teh factory, and factory "tuner" cars make it a moving target and hard to hit. hopefully the cobalt with help to grab at least 1 portion of that market back for GM.
