From what I've heard, tuning even a stock motor can yield a decent amout of power. Whatever cam you end up getting, definitly get it tuned.
And I see in your sig that you're slamming a truck. If you want, I have an 85 C-10, short bed, standard cab, two wheel drive for sale. no motor or trans, but it comes with new cab corners. CHEAP. Like, less than one of those camshafts you were talking about cheap.
