you can do it at home, but if you dont know what you're doing, I would leave it up to a pro. But, if you really want to do it yourself, go for it. My dad and I put a shift kit in the TH-350 thats in the camaro. Then again, my dad was a mechanic for 15 or so years. I passed the ATRA test (Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association), so I could probably instal a shift kit. If you end up doing it yourself and you run into a problem, let me know, I'll try to help. Otherwise just let someone else do it.
