Well I'll tell you what I know. My hooker shorties with y-pipe get about 4-6 inches of ground clearance...hang down about dead even with the air damn up front. the LTs ive seen on any thirdgen have about 2 inches of clearance just behind the front tire so its notiveably visible. if its just for drag, i say go for it. it moves the horsepower up in the rpm range i believe. for daily driving...i say stick with shorties and youll be alright.
then again it depends on where you live...if bumps arent bad and there arent too many steep inclines...get some LTs.
