Engine and trans are out and now it's time to get to the cleaning. Still haven't ordered the transmission parts yet
. The engine will get cleaned and painted either tomorrow but more than likely Monday when I have a chance to pick up some good paint. I don't know how this is going to work out but I need to finalize my paint scheme. Anybody think I should leave the aluminum intake and water pump bare aluminum? I kind of want to go for that stock appearance and black it all out. It's not like this engine is a horsepower beast... yet. Cam swap, maybe even some head porting? Any opinions? Yes I want the car back on the road but I'm gunning for high 12's so the cam swap is looking crucial.
Trans rebuilding is going to be the real challenge. Well that and finding an aluminum driveshaft to replace this vibrashaft (reframing from making an obvious sex joke).
Any cam opinions? How about opinions on the paint scheme
