actually jon, an officer may never make a forceful action against any person or property without being threatened by it. unless the door jumped at teh officer he had no right to touch it much less hit it.
truth of the matter is that when you get pulled over you have more rights than the cop does. he may have the power to write a bunch of tickets, but you have the power to cost him his job.
one thing you shoudl remeber in teh future though, if you get loud with a cop you are much more likely to have this problem. telling a cop the way things really are in a calm tone of voice will piss them off to some degree, but not nearly as much as running off about who your family is or yelling at them.
my advice would be to get a lawyer when you go to court and make sure those who were with you show up to testify.
