On my way into work this morning I was barely a 1/4 mile down the road and a deer came running out in front of me! Luckily I was in the 4Runner and still not up to the speed limit yet or I would have hit it. Then on my way home from work, I pass a cop, ambulance, mangled car and dead deer right in front of the munincipal building(this is a 35 mph road). I get on my road and I have some jerk riding my bumper but I kept thinking to myself that this is the hardest time to see the deer because the sun's not quite down yet so your headlights don't help. Just as I came around the corner, I was almost at the exact same spot as this morning and this deer comes flying out in front of me again! Fortunately the 4Runner loses power going uphill so I was just under the speed limit, otherwise I would have nailed it! So I think the moral of the story is: get a slow vehicle and you'll miss all the deer!
