Wait wait wait....did anyone else notice the first post where the car sounded bad and the valves were tapping and such? Then later on a few posts later it's running like a dream? Yay for magic!
A top notch will cost you more than $1800 in materials alone plus another 8-10k in labor so don't expect much from this shop and don't be disappointed if it's cracked and peeling by the time you get your license.
Get the engine running correctly, take a class and learn how to paint it yourself....and spend the next 3 years taking your time to do it right. And DO NOT Joyride!
