Don't be surprised if many shops don't want to be bothered with carry-in parts. If anything goes wrong, it is a headache for everybody. The shop isn't responsible for free labor to remove & re-install a bad part (even though the customer thinks they shoud R&R it for free). If the shop supplies the parts, then they are responsible. Customers never think their carry-in part is bad. Especially aftermarket parts. But guess what? Sometimes, they are bad. Or are not exactly right.

You should learn to do it yourself. If it is too cold, wait for it to get warmer. A real car-guy shold be able to do plugs & wires.
