The job security is worth it, just the pay sucks! Most districts are starting at $40K now; lets just say I'm not "quite" there yet after all these years. And, with property taxes going up nearly $2K and commuting expenses doubling (price of gas), unless I get like a $4K raise I'll actually wind up making less money next year.
