Recommendation on an engine/trans combo.

Purchasing the 3rd gen from a junkyard. Great condition for a rolling chassis. Looking for recommendations for the combo on engine trans right now. Still gotta get into it and rip apart the whole thing.

Anyways, was looking into a 454 carb engine.

Or an LS1 fully built with a th400 tranny.
