The SS is back up and running!  The header install from hell is almost over! I need to go back and retighten the header bolts now that I've gone through a heating cycle. Then I have to put the locks and clips on the header bolts. That will probably take me 2-3 weeks! And the y-pipe is hitting the driver's side floor in one spot and the torque arm. Sounds like a good excuse to get a new torque arm made to fit longtube headers. I will say that without catalytic converters, it's pretty obvious from the exhaust fumes. And I think a tree just died in my front yard!  But no SES light, no melted wires, runs smooth and deep. So get ready for the snow now that I'm almost able to drive the car again. |
