get some penetrating lube. the stock nuts and bolts holding your exhaust manifold on are going to need to be soaked prior to the install day. do you have gaskets for the headers? if not, go buy them.

measure the new cam shaft and the distance between the front of the engine block and the nearest obstacle in the nose (radiator most likely will have to come out, so try to measure beyond that) to get an idea if the nose will have to come off to do the cam install. if there isn't enough room between the block and the nearest obstacle, the nose will likely be partially dissassembled prior to install day. you want to get as much of this stuff out of the way so the install goes smoothly.
