it didn't take them long to move on to the second gens, huh? goddamn thieves.

WHILE IT CAN BE AUTHENTICATED AS AN "RS", WITHOUT THE BENEFIT & PROOF OF THE STOLEN COWL TAG OR THE BUILD SHEET, IT CANNOT BE DOCUMENTED AS AN ORIGINAL Z28. HOWEVER, DETAILS SUBSTANTIATE IT'S TRUE ORIGIN AS A Z28. BUT FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH, YOU COULD NOT HOPE TO GET THIS TYPE OF ENGINEERING & HIGH PERFORMANCE FROM THE FACTORY ANYWAY UNLESS YOU KNEW HOW TO ORDER A COPO. OR YOU HAD AN UNCLE THAT WORKED FOR BALDWIN MOTION, YENKO ETC. GET IT WHILE YOU CAN.
what's the authentication, then? what details is he talking about? there are too many things questionable on the exterior to make it an RS, and no proof that it was a Z-28. so, basically, it's a real flashy camaro that he wants to get paid on.

for my money, if he just called it a re-engineered camaro and then went on to show the engineering, it would make for a better story than, "well, i can't really prove it's an RS or a Z-28..." btw, anyone back then could order a 427 and drop it in their camaro. he makes it sound like some secret society complete with handshake and wax seal.
