porting anything is a tricky matter with out real hands on experence in the end you might wreck what you tryed to make better, they sell spacers with a vortex twist insert, cheep and if something goes on you dont like about it take it out, remember bigger is not always better if you screw with the ( VE ) volumetric efic ( intake verses exhaust track tuning ) it will never work right again having said that, gasket matching, smoothing of ports, ( intake ) make the port a smooth to the feel finish with polishing only the exhaust port to a mirror finish is a play, Only one motor can the intake can be polished --- ( only ) if its port injection and the injector nozzel is at the valve bowl it is called ( DOWN NOZZEL ) their is always a play and a big one but only alky sprint cars use this with high end hilborn injection type set ups --- keep what you do to a min this way you can than see a small change for the worse and stop jz
