The PCV system is their in the system for a few good reasons the easiest to explain is with open to the air breathers like you are talking about the positive pressure that normally blows buy the piston rings will end up all over the top of the valve covers -with out installing extensions with baffles in them even than it will vapor onto the hood underside, is some cases ending the PCV system will cause the rear engine seal to leak as well as some gaskets, the PCV system is to have a positive effect on the crankcase pressure, better is to redirect all hot air from entering the intake system and make it a positive flow from the front of the car, than disconnect the PCV -- in a race car the PVC system is directed into the exhaust header using a one way valve and sealing the rest of the motor those with big engines will put a pump on the motor and suck the blow by from the rings out into a puke can both racing set ups have another effect they buy making neg air in the engine block they actually pull the piston rings out of the ring grooves and help seal the motor, high end race motors use a ring called a ( low tension oil ring ) without some kind of evac system the car will smoke after the gas pedal is lifted at end of run ----- hope my 2 cents helped ---- jz
