The amount of oil on the anti-freeze dipstick was minimal It may have just been excess or in need of a flush.

are you sure it's oil? that usually says bad headgasket or crack in the block...when was the last time the cooling system was flushed?
people are gonna have a hard time coughing up 7 grand for an 11 year old car that doesn't want to start on the first try and has oil in the antifreeze...just my humble opinion, but hey - I could be wrong
