Sounds like a vacuum leak (ie. bad intake gasket)... Try spraying some carb cleaner along the intake where it meets the head, if the idle changes when you get to a particular cylender you have an intake gasket that failed or you cracked the intake. It can also leak internally. you could diagnose this by pulling the pcv, plugging the fresh air hole and any others you may have in the valve covers and checking for any vacuum pull at the pcv hole.
