IF YOU ARE GOING TO MATCH THE CAM SPRING COMBO THE ORIG STUFF YOU TOOK OFF WILL NEED TO BE PRESSURE CHECKED TO DETERMIN IT HAS THE CORRECT PRESSURE THE SPRING SEAT ( cup ) lower retainer can be used but if its only a street motor the stock retainer has a step in it so the spring does not float around on the bottom care must be taken to insure the cam you are using in the new heads have enough room so nothing bottoms or hits as they say and the stock 1.427 springs have the correct pressure and travel have you read any books on this it is involved not hard not anything you cant do but their are many checks so it all works together can walk you through it but i type slow and cant spell haahahaha # 1 do you have a dial gague and do you know how to read it ???? note can you send the cam spec i need to know installed height and what spring you are using oem after market ???? jz
