autobody is a tough business to be in. it is extremely tough on your body and it is hard to make decent money. thats why i got out of that business and started being a mechanic. if you are really serious about this career, than the best advise i could give you is:

-dont go to a school. you will learn alot more just starting out at a shop that is willing to teach you.

-get as much certifications that you can. this will make you worth much more.

- finally the most important thing. i cannot stress the importance if being safe. dont be stupid, wear a mask any time to spray anything. wear a paint suit and gloves. use a full face mask. if you use a disposable niosh approsed mask, they are only good for 8 hours of spray time(thats if you keep it in a sealed bag). if it is not in a sealed bag, than that reduces the live of the filters. do not play around with this stuff. it can do some serious damage to your body.

i dont mean to try and scare you, i just want you to know the risks involved in this career. good luck with this. be safe and if you have any other questions about this please let me know.
