dude, just be yourself, you sound like a good kid with a great ambition, just dont give up on cars, like instead of going to a normal highschool, go to a vocational school that teaches auto tech, learn the ropes, get a decent job or an aprenticeship at a mechanic's shop, get a good foot in the door and a grasp on how everything works, dont just look for performance, look for efficiency and economy, concentrate on one thing at a time
