I am not trying to come off as a wisearse but I have about 1500 or so into my suspension and I am cutting 1.5's. Point is, car hooks well for what is has.
And I would agree to get a car of that weight into the mid 11's would take about 400-450 at the wheels.

I have more then $3500 in my suspension, some of my parts are blue anodized, but none are gold plated
I seriously doubt that car has gone 11.50's, sounds like a 12.50 combo at best.
The cam, carb and converter, amongst other things are pretty far off from what i would believe runs 11.50's.
