usually you can get them downgraded to unsafe driving (which doesnt carry any points, but you can only use it 3 times. on the 4th time its an automatic 4 points.... i found that out the hard way.... ***%&n stafford court
) but it'll cost you a decent amount of money (somewhere in the ball park of $2-500, i had to drop about a grand on a carless driving ticket and an improper passing ticket to go from 6 points to no points) the careless driving ticket itself is 2 points
