What class were you in, stock, modified, etc? Do you know what the judging criteria was? Flat out appearance won't win trophy's in some classes if the judging is based on other things like modifications. Without asking the judges how the car was scored you may never know why another car beat you out. I think you're assuming too much and therefore might miss out on going to the show in the future and having a better time. I watched them judge a 93 Indy Pace Car a couple of years ago and they really went over the car thoroughly and nitpicked things like you would expect. Sounds like you're more upset with the fact that you were judged late(unfortunately someone has to be last) and your bad experience with the hotel. I'd give it another chance.
