Ok that big fat (ENG in orange letters) hose just ruptured and antifreeze squirted out all over my engine (10 minutes ago), I am using wifi on my laptop to bradcast this messge. I am on 14th street and 5th ave if anyone wishes to come and see it, and I know this is a 1% chance. I called AAA and they will tow my car to Fair Lawn, NJ (to my house). Now tomorow morning, can I just replace that hose myself, and as far as all the aintifreeze thats all over my engine, how do I clean it off? and is it bad to drive the car with antifreeze residue all over the engine? Will it burn off? I know this sounds stupid but I don't know much about this, and any suggestions are greatly appreaciated.

thx a lot for the advice, I don't have any pets except this one homeless cat that lives on my street, but I'll keep him away. Ill try to wash it off by hand, since using a power hose seems risky, I already had to replace my battery and alternator once, and I don't want to repeat that simply b/c of a ruptured hose. Any ideas on how to fix the hole? and if I have to by a new one, what store would have it and what would I ask the clerk for? or should I just walk into the store with a ruptured hose and show it? lol

Ok I hosed the engine down with water to clean off the antifreeze, i watched out for the alternator, now my car wont even start, i dont even hear the clicking sound of the starter, I am now trying to blowdry some excess water, what could be wrong?

Yes i did get a kick out of this thread because it is "funny"
Okay, first off people told him to keep animals away from the antifreeze. If you want to see what happens, go down a few cups of it yourself and see where it leaves you. he was posting from his computer and gave landmark of where he was so if anyone in the area was near him could try to get there. I sure as hell wouldnt mind when someone came to hang out with me when my car was broken down on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck. Blowdrying the excess water off of the engine/electronics wtf i mean come on, it makes sense to try that if the crap got wet I mean it wasnt the brightest thing in the world to hose it all down in the first place, but neither is making a V6 bird look like a Trans Am...
