Well it's up to you who you wanna accept as a friend. I pretty much keep mine just to people I already know, or people that happen to have a nice car that I've chatted with about.
The entire concept is basically a social community for car people of all types. Use it as a way to meet new people, or just as a place for you to keep information and pictures of your car(s) online.
