I'm acutally a pretty decent welder (if I do say so myself) but unfortutely I have jack **** for time these days.

But let me ask you this- are you welding steel to steel or are you welding steel to cast iron? If the answer is the latter, you need to have a pro do it. Welding steel to cast iron requires special techniques and this is a critical part. You CAN weld steel to CI if you preheat the iron properly and use the correct welding equipment, but personally I wouldn't chance it on a torque arm. Something like axle tubes, no problem.
