Check to see how close your rear is to being centered. Stick your fingers on the inside of the tire to see what the clearance is on each side. If one side is closer than the other then you might be able to get away with an adjustable panhard bar to center the rear better and not need any hammering. I got lucky and my car was centered perfect and I didn't need to do any hammering or fender lip rolling.
