i think the value of "special" cars has more to do with what billy is saying that any production numbers. low production will always hold/gain value, mass production but neglected will always gain value.
think of ti this way, in 1975 there was no shortage of 69 camaro's. plenty were made and plenty were still enjoying a driving life. they had no real value at that point. fast forward past years of people junkn them because they didn't really care and now look at prices of even the most basic 69 in rough condition.
